Configuration Files

The SPLOT program can save all the important options parameters (a palette of colors for pens, pen widths, etc.) in a SPLOT initialization file (named SPLOTW32.INI). The plotter device dependent parameters (e.g. paper size) are also saved to this initialization file in a corresponding section. If this initialization file is found, it is loaded on program startup. The SPLOT program first searches for it in the startup directory, then in the program directory.

The options parameters are saved automatically after program exit if the Auto Save Options switch in the Options menu is checked.

You can also use the Save Options Dialog in the Options menu to create the configuration files in any directory.

The existence of more configuration files in different directories if useful namely in the multi-user environment.
